Live OsmO research
How many calls do people really get a day?
Most calls are not the ones you were waiting for. This page shows a typical day of calls for OsmO users by region — who is calling, and how many of those calls actually needed a person.
Latest day: 5 October 2026 · updated daily
In the US and Canada, 3 in 4 calls didn’t need you.
76% of calls there came from unknown numbers OsmO judged unimportant, versus 46% in India — where 44% of calls come from saved contacts (17% in the US & Canada). Curious why? Read why you get so many spam calls.

How this is calculated
- People counted here received at least one inbound OsmO call that UTC day.
- From people you know: the caller matched a saved contact with a real name, not a number or placeholder.
- Unknown calls are split by OsmO’s priority signal into ones worth answering and quiet ones that usually should not interrupt you.
- This is OsmO product data, not a census of every caller in a country.
Privacy thresholds
Only aggregate counts leave our database. A region stays hidden until it has at least 30 people and 100 calls. No names, numbers, recordings or transcripts are used.
