Recurring Calls is currently an eligibility-gated feature. If the Repeat option does not appear while you set up a call, it is not enabled for your account. The current app creates weekly schedules only; it does not offer monthly schedules.
What a recurring call does
A recurring call turns one clear phone task into a weekly series. You choose one contact, write the fixed request, select the days and time, and confirm the schedule. OsmO then places each due call in English and keeps the series in its own chat.
This is for work that really repeats. It is not a reminder that tells you to make the call yourself, and it is not a calendar event for the person you are calling. It is a schedule for OsmO to place the outbound call.
How the weekly schedule works
- Choose one contact. Recurring Calls currently schedules a series to one phone number.
- Describe one bounded request. The same request is used for each occurrence, so write what OsmO should ask or confirm.
- Select one or more weekdays. A schedule can run on a single day or several days each week.
- Pick a local time. The app offers 30-minute slots from 8:00 AM through 9:00 PM and keeps the schedule pinned to your timezone.
- Choose when it ends. Let it continue, stop after a number of calls, or stop on a future date.
- Review before creating. The app shows the contact, request, cadence, end rule, and next three planned call times before you confirm.
The timezone rule matters when clocks change. “Every Monday at 9:00 AM” stays at that local wall-clock time rather than drifting by an hour after a daylight-saving transition.
Useful recurring call examples
The best recurring requests have a stable contact, a clear question, and an answer you can verify in the call result.
- Independent consultant: call a supplier every Friday to confirm whether a standing order is ready.
- Real-estate agent: call a property manager on selected weekdays for a maintenance-status update.
- Tradesperson: check a merchant's availability for a regularly used material before the next workday.
- Owner-operator: follow up with one service provider each week until a bounded issue is resolved, then cancel the series.
- Creator or solo professional: confirm a recurring booking detail with the same venue or studio.
Avoid using a standing schedule for medical instructions, legal decisions, payments, private account access, or any request where the right wording changes each time. Those calls need fresh context and human review.
How to pause, resume, or cancel
Each series has a live status card in its chat. You can pause an active schedule, resume a schedule you paused, or cancel future calls.
- Pause keeps the schedule but stops upcoming calls.
- Resume calculates the next future occurrence; it does not release a burst of calls that were missed while paused.
- Cancel is final. To run the series again, create a new schedule.
There is no edit-in-place control in the current app. If the contact, request, weekdays, or time needs to change, cancel the old series and create a new one with the corrected details.
Recurring Calls versus Keep going
These solve different problems. Recurring Calls is a calendar-like weekly series to the same contact with the same request. Keep going belongs to a one-off task and lets OsmO continue pursuing that single outcome when one attempt is not enough.
The app does not combine them. Choose Repeat when the task should happen again on selected weekdays. Use a normal outbound call when you have one outcome to complete.
Current limits
- Eligibility: the Repeat option appears only on accounts where Recurring Calls is enabled.
- Cadence: the current app is weekly-only. Monthly and “every N weeks” schedules are not exposed.
- Target: one contact and one fixed request per schedule.
- Time: 30-minute local-time slots from 8:00 AM through 9:00 PM.
- Language: the recurring-call review currently states that OsmO places these calls in English.
- Changes: there is no edit-in-place; cancel and recreate the schedule.
- The other party still controls the outcome: a person may not answer, may decline an AI-assisted call, or may require you to join.
